Lexus Of Orlando - Needed a seventy-nine cent screw. It cost over $700
The screw that hold our rear view mirror in place was stripped during a windshield replacement.
I attempted to make a replacement screw (photo) using a seventy-nine cent cap screw. After several attempts I couldn't get it quite right.
When we attempted to buy a replacement screw, were were told we'd have to replace the mirror to the tune of over $700.
One would thing that the vaunted Lexus service would have gone out of their way to help a customer. Isn't that what we pay inflated prices for?
Incidentally, a replacement mirror for a Ford Expedition is available online for $76.00
